Rye Brook Chimney Fire with extension

 Above date & Time Rye Brook L-30 along with,59,61,64,TL-2 & R-40 were dispatched to Lincoln / West Chester ave,for a reported structure fire.While Enroute,units were updated via 60 Control to reported address as 18 Lincoln ave,calle reporting flames from the roof.Upon arrival,2392 (Chief Quinn) upgraded the assignment bringing 62 and U-65 to the scene.Units found a 2 story large Cape style with flames from the chimney and extension,into the attic.

L-30 entered the narrow driveway and ladderd to the Chimney area,61 followed and dropped a supply line to the closest hydrant,which 64 picked up and supplied 61.TL-2 laddered the structure and assisted with opening up the roof area.R-40 provided salvage and 62 assisted with additional manpower.

The Fire had a good head start and had burn thru sections of the roof area.Members made an aggressive attack into the attic area and stopped the fire to the roof area.

2391 (Chief Mc Minn) placed the fire under control within an hour of dispatch with unitsstaying on scene to check for extension.

Due to the large distance between hydrants members assisted each other in repacking the rigs prior to the drop in temperature.Ramianing PCFD stood-By in quarters.
 

 Once again,a prime example of two Departments working together to get the job done.
